Safety First

• No private messaging. All chats happen in moderated, public spaces.
• Real names are never required. Kids use first names or pen names only.
• No personal info. Never share last names, addresses, schools, phone numbers, or social accounts.
• Report anything unsafe. Use the Report button or tell an adult immediately.
• Always moderated. Every story, comment, and chat is reviewed by trained human moderators before going public.

Kindness Is Mandatory

• Encourage, don't discourage. Give feedback that helps others improve.
• No bullying or insults. Zero tolerance for rude or hurtful behavior.
• Respect all voices. Different ideas and cultures make our stories stronger.
• Keep it clean. No profanity or suggestive content.
• Celebrate wins together. Creativity thrives in support, not competition.

Creative Integrity

• Write your own work. Don't copy or use AI to submit content.
• Credit collaborators. Always acknowledge your co-authors.
• Age-appropriate only. No excessive violence, gore, or mature themes.
• Stay honest. Don't impersonate others or mislead readers.

Respect Privacy & Copyright

• Never upload photos or drawings of real people without permission.
• Don't include personal details about classmates or friends.
• Only share artwork, music, or images you made yourself or that are free for reuse.

Parental & Moderator Oversight

• Every child account connects to a parent email for transparency.
• Moderators review all stories and chats; inappropriate content is edited or removed.
• Parents may request an activity report or account deletion anytime at support@coauthor.co.
• Serious or repeated violations result in suspension or permanent removal.

Reporting & Consequences

• Flag or report anything inappropriate.
• A moderator reviews it within 24 hours.
• The content is removed and the user warned.
• Repeated offenses result in account suspension or permanent ban.
